She was born in Floyd County and was a daughter of the late Rufus Samuel and Mamie Collins Nichols.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Woods.She was retired from the dietary department at Blue Ridge Nursing Center and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Graveside services were conducted Monday at Trinity Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Paul Holt. Arrangements were by Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
