EUNICE GUILLIAMS #MemorialMonday

GUILLIAMS, Eunice Lorraine, 69, of Callaway, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday evening, December 14, 1995, after a lengthy and courageous battle with many complications. As she was being summoned to come home, she was surrounded by numerous loved ones and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ezekial and Ruth Nichols; an infant daughter, Anna Lee Richards; and two brothers, Alton and Billy Nichols.
She was the pillar of strength, guidance and support of her husband of forty years and to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her great joy and a twinkle to her eye. To her, worldly possessions meant little. Her greatest possessions were times spent with her family, both in adversity as well as joy.
She leaves many survivors and devoted friends as she goes to spend eternity with her Lord. Surviving are her husband, Herman L. Guilliams; sons and daughters-in-law, Norman E. and Donna Jackson Richards, Vinton, James Richards, San Francisco, Calif., Roger and Marie Richards, Bassett, Donnie Richards, Martinsville and Jimmy Lee Guilliams, Callaway; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Gallew, Sanford, N.C., Sandra and Mike Donovant, Spencer, Debbie and Kenny Meador, Wirtz, Donna and Jeff Adkins, Chatham, Lisa and Ivy Jay Layman, III, Ferrum and Delores and Mike Agee, Rocky Mount; 21 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Gordon Nichols, New Orleans, La., Burton Nichols, Roanoke and Robert Nichols, Troutville; sisters, Tressie Sigmon, Salem, Flossie Moran, Norfolk, Annie Moran and Shirley Mauk, both of Copper Hill; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday at Piedmont Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Richard Slider officiating. Interment will follow in the Callaway Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Callaway Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 44, Callaway, Va. 24067 or to one's choice. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Saturday with the family receiving friends from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Jay Layman, Ferrum. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service, 342 S. Main St., Rocky Mount. 1
