Richard Ira Nichols

FLOYD -- Richard Ira Nichols, age 68, died in a Roanoke nursing home Saturday, Feb. 21, 1976. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Ina Guilliams, Mrs. D. W. Sowers, Jr. and Mrs. Ernest Martin, all of Roanoke, Mrs. Norman Hoback, Hollins, Mrs. Barry Smith, Copper Hill; six sons, Wesley L. Nichols, LaPlata, Md., Marshall Everett Nichols and Carl E. Nichols, both of Roanoke, John N. Nichols, Copper Hill, Fred A. Nichols, Troutville, Raymond L. Nichols, Lincoln, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Willard Wood, Copper Hill; three brothers, J. Banks Nichols, Boones Mill, Dock Nichols, Vinton, Robert Nichols, Salem; also 33 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 23, 1976, at 2 p.m. from Copper Hill Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Frank Wimmer officiating. <sup>7
