Clydia Emma Nichols 1915 - 1916
A recent find in my search for the Roots, is my great aunt Clydia, who never made it to a census record because of TB. Clydia was my grandpa's sister who was born in December of Nineteen Fifteen and died a few days later in Nineteen Sixteen. Over a hundred years ago. She was never recorded in a Census and might never have been remembered today without her birth and death records. Clydia's death certificate was shared on Facebook by a friend and fellow genealogist named Rena Worthen who is basically the expert on Floyd Virginia Records. Thanks again Rena.
Clydia appears to be buried with her parents at the old Nichols farm in Floyd, somewhere near the Blue Ridge Parkway. She died of Tuberculosis at the age of Twenty Nine days. May she rest in peace.
Remember the Census doesnt tell the whole story so keep searching and researching and keep climbing the family tree. See you in the tree.
